Day 1: Bangkok-Singapore

11^th December 2008

We've arranged to meet at around 9am but both of us were late. So we had to rush to check-in. Didn't manage to take photo of the counter but as expected, we did not need to wait too long for our turn. After that, we immediately went in. I was told that I could use the express lane next time with my new passport! =)

Anyway, we didn't had our breakfast, so we went to find something to eat but the only available was a stall that was selling puffs and we got ourselves tuna puffs. The mineral water was super expensive but in the end Alvin couldn't carry it on board because it exceeded the limit of the liquid that mineral bottle can contain.

We also realized that we didn't have much Singapore dollars with us, so we decided to go and withdraw some. We were disappointed to find out that the ATM can only dispense $40 each time, irregardless how much we wanted to withdraw. We gave up after we tried 2 times each.

We rushed to the boarding gate as we were told to be there by 10 10. Apparently, we were not even on board the plane by 10 37 hrs:



Soon after the above picture was taken, I finally saw sight of the plane:



To our surprise, there were quite a number of people traveling on the same plane as us.



To kill boredom and time, someone was playing his PSP:



Finally, the plane was ready to fly... ...



After approximately 2 hrs plus, the plane finally landed and we had to take bus to go to the airport check-in counter.



This is the first time I had my feet touch on the same ground where the plane landed, if you get what I meant.

Everything was alright and we got our luggage too....



We went to our hotel - Asia Hotel directly from the airport. This is how the room looks like:






After that, we went out and had our dinner. Only managed to take 1 photo as I had forgetten about it after starting to eat. lolx....



Next, we went to Suan Lum night market. Didn't take photos too but as you can see, the place was totally without many people and some stalls were not even opened!




Maybe we were early it was 7.21pm SG time, 6.21pm BKK time. Basically SG is 1 hr ahead of BKK.

Hmm... then nothing much for day 1....
