What is the world happening?

What I'm going to say next is not discriminating any of the people mentioned.... it just some of my thoughts... and perhaps more awareness of the society.... and people around me .....

Was there an increase in the number of people preferring partners of their own gender? Or is it just me who only became more aware of this trend? Among my own circle of friends, I have quite a handful of female friends, even some close ones who prefer female partners. Till now, I have not figure out why is this so..... Did discuss before with close one and even asked if they will ever like guys.... some did before...

Same things for Singaporean men going overseas to look for wives.... heard of quite a few people that I know of.... going to other countries to look for wife....

All these seems to be a viscous cycle.... it may or may not...

I'm definately not discrimintating anyone.... just wondered.... maybe these individuals haven't meet the right ones yet?

Just something to ponder about ... ... just some thoughts since yesterday was Valentine's Day...

Facebook Friend's Trip to Singapore

2 weeks ago, on the 17th Jan, I met my facebook friend, Valerie. =)

It's kinda of strange , weird or special in the way that we got to know each other -- in Human Pets. She bought my "pet" Nicky..... and left a message to me regarding my pet..... Then 1 week before Val came to Singapore, she message me in Human Pets again -- if I can bring her around. =p
Well, Nicky said Val and me got to know each other because we were "fighting for one stupid pet" and well... that's him... lolz...

So here I was, bringing her around......

Updates....

Last Friday was my organization D&D ...... it was at the Holiday Inn Hotel.... can u imagine that my colleague and I actually waited for like more than 1/2 hours for a 5 mins trip bus to the hotel? Then we were late??? Luckily the event was only about to start....

Well, it was free seating.... so when we arrived... it was already almost full... thou that my tampines side ppl actually have seats but apparently sth happened and we didn't sit with ppl from my side..... but we sat with staff from other dept.... they are great bunch of fun ppl... haha...
Well, because I don't really show my face at HQ that often.... the qn that they asked me was.... where I was from?? Indonesia? Philiphines..... diao..... Then I told them.... I'm 正宗新加坡人。 Haha.... and I gotten cord phone for lucky draw and $20 pizza hut voucher..... since this is my 1st D&D..... I drank 1 cup of beer... =p

The MC was super cute and entertaining... I'm sure alot of us are enjoying ourselves.... and we had our cheers too.... just imagine I haben been really doing cheers for so long... but I'm still as loud as ever.... bhb... lolz...

And well, I took some beer too... =)

On 12th January, I went to this youth symposium by Health Promotion Board.....

It was quite interesting..... and I went to this workshop on Youth and Sexuality....

They were advocating :

Abstinence
Be Faithful
Condom

It was rather interactive as most of the participants are youths..... and there was also a social worker too....

Well, it was a great time meeting up with people from NASS NPCC Echo Batch (admist me being the "extra"... haha...) on 30th Dec 2007.....



We went to minds cafe to play.... it has been a long time since I saw them...

After meeting ppl from ECho.... cH decided to have a gathering with ppl from Charile... so here we are.... meeting up... only Liwen and Binghua managed to meet up...

But it was great meeting up... just imagined the last time I saw Binghua was like 8 years ago!!! When we went for the once in a life time Millenia countdown....

We had dinner in a jap restaurant... followed by searching for my laptop.... all of them were IT/Technology savy ppl... engineers n IT ppl... so good time to ask for expertise....

Then Liwen had to go.... so the rest of us went to have coffee and catch up....

Resolution 2008

Hi all,

End of the year is always a good time to review on past resolutions.... and see what has been achieve and what hasn't.....

So what's my resolution for the year 2007?

• to do well in my studies academically and clinically ( I mean who doesn't right? haha)
Well.... I improved in my GPA by at least by 0.5... ;)

• to get a job that I like after I graduate..... perhaps most likely community setting ba....
  At the moment I still like what I am doing.....
• to get a water heater for the house (it has been spoilt for years...)
  Daddy said no need to buy..... maybe I think I'll still get.... cos the weather is so wierd nowadays....
• to get a new bed.... maybe a sofa bed? =)
  Haben get..... maybe soon... but definately have to be a sofa bed.....
• to become wiser and prettier of course.... haha....
  haha.... rebonded my hair.... but not sure if it has become prettier... maybe you guys can comment about it? =)
• to clean my room... haha... pack all my notes and books.....
  No need clean room le... no more room... haha... but still need to pack abit of my whole drawers of notes la....
• to go overseas with my family at the end of the year
  Its alrdy end of the yr le..... maybe before next yr July ba.....
• clear all my debts (my study loan and stufff) ...... haha... hopefully....
  Start to pay my debts liao.... but will only finished by next year....
• to meet up more of my friends before I start to work....
• to go backpacking.....
• to start saving regularly
  I'm glad that I started to save..... =)
• to do sports regularly
• to get a laptop/PC

My goals before I hit 30 has also been reviewed:

I have changed my loan amount before I bought myself an insurance.... it is an investment-link plan to be exact.... as I see the vulnarabilty of life ever since I started working in this line.... "such things wouldn't happen to me one" apparently happened to my clients....

Regarding degree conversion... ya... hopefully by 2009....

Saving my 1st 10k.... might be possible... but got to see... cos I want to buy my lappie...

To play sports...... stop for a while liao.... guess got to go back in 2008....

Driving license..... soon la... before 30 I guess....

Getting married?? I guess still far from it ah... lolz....

After review the above.... these are my resolutions for 2008 .....

• to run my 21km next year
• to clear my debts by end of 2008
• to go overseas by july 2008
• go backpacking
• sleep better.... how i dunno.....
• go out more often...
• cook more.... bake more....

More to add in.... but cannot think of at the moment.... will add in again in the next few days....

meanwhile..... advance happy new year and happy holiday to all.... =)

Updates

Well, been busy for the past few days... slpt past 2am and wake up at 6+ am..... was busy doing tribute for Mr Pal... but glad he appreciate our (Serene, me, Waiyin, Suresh) hardwork.... can see that he was very touched.... so.... our effort has been paid off... it worthed all the burning of midnight oil....

We didn't have much time to eat our dinner... as usual... As a perfectionist, I would try to perfect things to the best of my abilities... would not give up till the 11th hour... so guess u can see me and serene trying to perfect things up to 7.50pm.... when the presentation was supposed to screen at 8pm... lolz... HAha... it seems like me and serene always do such stuff... right ya serene?
Anyway thanks ah Serene... for helping... haha.... well... u know... me is always as stubborn as a cow.... really wonder if I am a "mouse" or "cow".... haha....

After that "farewell", Serene and me we went to bk to continue our dinner.... chatted... and of course..... do what we always do best....



And we actually took alot of photos with her hp and mine...but our dear Serene.... for some reasons... didn't save most of them... lolz....
