Trip to JB and Overnight at Airport

Last Saturday, I went to JB with my buddies. Lots of obstacles before I got to meet them. First was the long queue at Novena Square where I'm suppose to collect my race pack. Decided to go next day instead. Next, I discovered I didn't bring my passport. Cabbed back home to take instead.

Then, we took Azman's car to Tuas checkpoint. Realised it was a longer route to the place we supposed to have our dinner. But still, we managed to reach in time. While in aZ car, I asked if SY was still interested to go airport to study for his exams. He said he had not decided. When I reached the seafood place, he messaged and said he would be leaving his place at 11pm. I was so excited and happy even though I would just be doing nothing but just be his side "accompanying" HIM.

We had a great time enjoying our food:

Okay, the last 2 photos were not our food. Just some animals we saw at the entrance. Hmm... maybe they were? But definately not ours.

After dinner, we headed back to the checkpoint. I asked if aZ could send me to Airport but he said was too far but he could send me to Tanah Merah MRT though.

On the way, HE smsed and said he might miss his last train to city hall and pasir ris. But thank god, he managed to board the last train. Before aZ dropped me off at Tanah Merah MRT, he teased me and asked me to enjoy my date with "bf". lolx.

I was checking out the places before he came so that it can save him some time. Went to check out T1 BK together but it was so noisy was it was at the arrival hall. We settled for T2 BK in the end.

He was trying to read his notes while I tried to do some of my stuff. Dozed off a while. Can see that he had difficulty concentrating.  Felt so bad that there's nothing that I can help but just be beside him. He was so quiet throughout.

It was 5 plus when he couldn't take it anymore. We waited and took the first train. I went home to take a nap before I went to Novena again to take my race pack. This time round it was fast!

Then HE msged me to tell me about the "secret" and more people had knew about it, Then we decided to go to Virtualand again to do crafting. I was about to win the F6 when they shut off my computer. Dammit.

We went to had a late dinner at S11 before I headed home. Can see that he was troubled by his exams but as usual, he preferred to keep it to himself.

Jiayou!

What is the most important trip?

Saw the following quote from yahoo page:

"The most important trips aren’t about getting somewhere. They’re about getting to someone."

To me,

"The most important trips aren’t about getting somewhere. It is about being with the one that you love."

So, what is one of your most important trips?

Mine, of course is that 2008's trip to BKK with that special someone. The only time I went overseas alone with someone. You know who you are. You guys know who he is.

In another different note, I may be away from SG for 1-2 weeks in a few months time. Not for holiday, not for fun, not for love, less honeymoon.

For other purpose. Msg me if you all are interested to know.

Going to bathe and going to bed. Falling sick again.......

Tioman Trip Day 1 - Super backdated post

I went to Tioman with Juat and her friend Fizah on 7 - 9 May 2010. We had to meet at beach road at 6am. I was actually quite tired because I only slept at 3+am and woke up at 5+am. I was helping SOMEONE with his "mindmaps". But well, I'm not grumbling about it. (I think) he is quite appreciative about it, while I'm smsing him..... he asked me "go sleep in your bus".. but also because I mentioned something to him... lolx.

Anyway, it was a nice trip. It's my 4th leisure trip overseas. 1st was back in Taiwan in 2005 with all gals group. 2nd was the trip to BKK with SY. And 3rd was the last min trip to Kluang with juat. And 4th was this trip. I so needed another trip overseas now.....

Following were the fun, joy and food... ....

This is me, while waiting for the bus to start driving.....

Finally there is a stop for breakfast. The stopover coffee shop:

And I spotted a cat .... small and weak....

And how can I miss drinking some coffee? Coffee with coffee powder in the packet:

And the scene outside is quite nice that Juat suggested that I took a photo with it as the background:

Soon after that, we left for the jetty. The bus first dropped of some passengers at one of the jetty and followed by us at the Tanjung Gemuk Jetty, which Gemuk actually means FAT in Malay.Laughs.

 Me and Fizah

The boarding Pass

Before boarding the ferry

Inside the Ferry

Out through the windows, on the way to Tioman, I spotted this boat. It just reminded me of SY aka Alvin:

The M'sia Coast Guard/Navy

Finally we were reaching.......

Reached.... .....

 Nice Corals

Nice view from the jetty

A pose at the jetty

We went to check-in upon reaching the place. After which, we went for some brunch as we were all very hungry.

Ice-Kachang with milo powder

Ramly burger

Initially wanted to try the pattaya rice that Alvin suggested, but couldn't find. So, just go to settle for the burger.

After eating, Juat and Fizah brought me for a trial snorkeling experience at the nearby beach and I put on my bikini for the first time!! I looked not bad in it! But think I'm not going to post them here.

Maybe just the ones with my life jacket on.....

Me, with the gears on

Me, with Fizah

Can you see how hot was the sun?

After the trial session, I became more water confident. Soon, the sun was setting.....

And it was time for wash-up and dinner... ...

It was a 5 dishes Chinese dinner and let the photos do the talking:

This was us, taken before we consumed our dinner:

Me, with the food!

A nice cup of coffee to end our dinner

The dinner was so full that we decided to take a walk to the jetty... ...

P.S: That's all for day 1 at the moment. Day 2 and 3 will be post up soon. And you can go to my facebook to look at more photos if you are interested.

MIA

I know I have been missing-in-action for long. Lost motivation to blog for the past few months. Anyway, just some updates on my life.

I went to Tioman with Juat and her friend. It was a short getaway. I tried snorkeling for the first time in my life. Although I am a non-swimmer, it was a nice experience. Definitely hoping for more overseas trip to relax. It is depressing to see that my life is just work and home. Will post up some of the photos here soon. I hope.

Went to Navy Open House on 23 May. It was a very very hot day. Kudos to Alvin and other Navy personnels for withstanding the heat, esp. those under the SUN. It was a good experience to see what kind of life he used to lead (similar) and of course, it was great seeing him. *smile*

Attended my JC classmate's wedding last weekends. Met some of my classmates and Physics Tutor, Mr Sum. He seemed that he has not aged at all. 4 out of 7 girls attended. 2, including the bride are married. I guess this is the age where you see all your friends are getting married and people are asking when is my turn, "God knows!" Even I wish I had the answer.

But I got to agree with what Mr Sum said that day. I remembered him saying during the wedding that "you don't get married for the sake of getting married. you have to live with the person for life leh. Got to find someone that you can click......." He also mentioned that of course he does feels lonely (can't remember if that was the word he used)... something that even friends cannot replace, which I got to agree. Well, he is 37 y.o., a super good dancer, quite good looking. Anyone wants to know him, I can intro. lolx.

Another thing that keeps me wondering is that, 2/4 of my classmates are doing well in their careers. One being a software engineer in ST Electronic and another has sort of her own company being consultant to ready-to-be brides and grooms in terms of wedding planning. I think even the bride is in some government company/ministry. And mine? Pathetically drawing peanuts.

Haha.... there has been so many thoughts of what I can do, with few others. But, we seems to procrastinate. Maybe, we are too comfortable. But just wait. I know I can do it BIG if I want to. Just waiting for the right opportunity.

Other areas in my life..... sigh.... don't ask me. I'm just as puzzled.

Anyway, look out for more updates on my tioman trip, Navy Open House and Laylan's wedding.

A weekends trip to Kluang, Malaysia (7 - 8 November 2009)

On 7 Nov 09, I went to Kluang with Juat as her sister last minute cannot make it. Wake up early in the morning and took a cab to Tanjong Pagar Train station and arrived at 7am. Initially I wanted to stay in SG to accompany Alvin to prepare/study for exam and give him some moral support, but he prefer to study at home. Since there is nothing constructive I can help, I decided to go to Kluang and since I can have a little break and accompany Juat too.

These are some photos of the station:

Soon, it was time to board the train......

Posing next to the train

It has been more than 10 years since I took the train. The last time I took train was to Taman Negara back in 1999! Spot the coffee I'm holding? =X

My Coffee

Me in the train
I simply LOVE this picture

Juat and me.

This is Kluang, train station:

I like this welcome sign:

I like it maybe because of the angle that I took it from. It looks so artistic. LOLX.

This is the timing of the trains:

And how the outside of the train station looks like:

And we are on our way to our hotel:

Here we are, our hotel:

How does the inside of the hotel looks like?

 At the reception counter
(really got wifi meh?)

The lobby

The room rate

At the reception counter

Sorry, full house.

As we were early, our rooms were not ready yet. We left our bags at some temporary place before we headed out to have our breakfast. One the way to the coffee shop, I spotted this shop which looked like Singapore's Toy' R Us with castle as the exterior design:

At the outside of the shop, I saw many soft toys!!!!

How can I not take photo with them:

How I wished these are mine.....

Then, we walked to the coffee shop to have some breakfast. I quite like the exterior design of the coffeeshop too:

Another orientation of the shop:

Even the picture on the menu was nice:

Before we went back to hotel to check in out bags, we went to book our foot reflexogy and back massage at one of the shops. After that, we went back to the hotel and here we are, going up to our rooms.

Stairway to our rooms
(no lift available here)

level 3

This is Juat's and my room:

Room 204

TV and dressing table

2 single beds

I changed my jeans into my shorts before going out again, so that I don't have to bear with so much heat being trapped in my black jeans.

Heard that there was a new shopping centre - Pacific Kluang Mall nearby, we decided to go and take a look. There it is!

How can I miss the chance to pose again?

When we were reaching the shopping centre, we saw a group of people crowding outside the centre. Surprisingly, they seemed to have some car racing in a circuit.

I am so excited when I see these sports car even  though I'm an idiot about cars, as a vainpot as what Juat's put it, how can I not go near and pose and take photos? How often can we take such closed up photos with such cars? I know I'm not a model with super good figure, so do bear with me for a while, while I present to you some of the photos of these cars..... with me of course. =)

 Follow us to Kluang Mall

when I saw these cars in the mall, I can't help but walk towards it and asked Juat to take a photo for me:

Do not dare to sit on it

Another one:

I begin to heckcare and went to sit on it:

I then became slightly bolder and went to open the door of the car:

And became boldest when I sat in the car:

Here I am!!! =D

Here's another car:

Another one taken from the top:

From the side:

More outside:

Another one:

The last red one:

Finally eh?
Really one last one:

The above seems to be a Singapore Car. Because it starts with SJK... ......

And I've made a collage on the cars:

The mall has this organic food:

Spotted this plant, which is said to help to reduce radiation from the computer:

Juat saw this and ask me to pose with her:

Posing and more posing:

In a kiddo's taxi somemore. =X

We wanted to find the cinema as we were interested to watch movie at night but we couldn't find and ended up at the mall's open roof car park:

JUMP!

After that, we went to visit some rattan furniture shop where some of them bought some ratan chair and small box.

On the way there, I saw this sign that I thought it will look nice. Juat helped me took a photo of it as my phone was low batt and got to off it to reserved the battery life for the next day trekking:

And this is the rattan place:

After that, we went for our foot reflexology and back massage:

This is me, doing my first foot reflexology

Surprisingly, I don't have much pain except areas that is associated with my sleep, urinary tract, bladder and head. I think without pressing on my leg, any public can see that I had problem with my sleep just by looking at my eyes. LOLX.

This is Juat and me after our foot reflexology......

After that, we went for our dinner and it was an open concept coffeeshop and it rained. Imagine us eating 3/4 done and got to put some food into our bowl of rice and bring our bowl into the shelter and eat. Another friend of Juat helps us to carry our curry fish head in. It was quite an amusing moment eating while standing  as it ended up with me and Juat eating only.

After that, we went to another shopping centre and I caught my eyes on this:

And I though someone like Alvin may like it!

And I got myself a scissors keychain which I didn't take photo of it. I also bought a Sony Ericsson handphone charger because my phone is going low batt after all that photo taking, GPRS as well as searching of network. I chatted with Alvin over GPRS using my ebuddy for a while before I logged off. He said I'm wasting my data. =X. I slept pretty early for someone who used to sleep at 2-3 plus on a saturday. I slept at 11.30pm.

The next day, we woke up damn early to climb Gunung Lambak.

The photos taken outside the hotel while we wait for the taxi to send us to the hill/moutain:

Finally, we arrived and were at the foot of the hill:

I don't believed I can see exercise equipment at the hill!

All ahead of me while I took photos

Time for tea coffee!

While waiting for coffee and noodles to be ready, I took more photos, especially on the squirrels:

Finally managed to feed it. *happy*

The people there preparing FREE breakfast for the trekkers there:

The noodles they cooked are not bad, just a little oily. But well, I'm surprised that there are such service! They are just so heart-warming and kind.

How can Juat and me leave without taking a photo together (taken by her friend with a DSLR):

With our coffee!

Some other shoots before we headed down the hill/mountain:

 Jump again!

These are what I had captured on the way down, which is another route by the way:

On a hanging bridge

Another exercise equipment

Didn't know Falun Gong is in Malaysia too

*Disclaimer: The blogger is just taking photo and is not related to the
Falun Gong in any ways*

Are you lost? That way please.

After the trek, we went to have Yong Tau Hu for breakfast:

After that, we went to a noyan kueh shop:

After that, we walked past a utensils shop:

Why did I see a dragonboat paddle here?

Oh..... so it wasn't a paddle?? It's a ......

Rice Laddle!!!

After all these, it's finally time to go.... ....

Last shoot at the hotel

At the train station, we spotted a group of students:

Apparently they were there because they had not seen a train before.

More photos at the train station:

Train is coming...... Till I see you again.......

What are the things that I bought back?

For home

1 for office, 1 for home
