Wisdom and Compassion | 智慧与慈悲

Found a bookmark with the following words while I was mopping the floor just now.

"智慧不起烦恼,
慈悲没有敌人."

"Compassion breeds no enemies and wisdom brings no worries."

Truly but yet some things are really outta our control. Being compassion isn't everything. You can't dictate how others feel or think about you unfortunately. Even the wisest cannot tell what's in front of them, men are born worriers.

Hmm... true enough... buT then... compassion brings lesser enemies.... and not that wisest do not have worries... just that that they channel their worries to something more postive. ;-)
There is a quote from SM Goh Chok Tong last Year in his National Rally speech.

" We must never despair. Win or lose, no one can tell in advance. But if we do not have fighting spirit, we are bound to lose. No army can win a war if its morale is down."

Maybe that is what separate the wisest and not-so-wise. Anyway, Champion is not one who never lose but one who tries to stand up after every defeat and not worrying and grief over his lost!
